these with around 25-35 items, mostly
food, but we also include practical
things, like pens, pencils, post-it
notes, even travel toiletries or
sunscreen. We also include fun items,
like slinkies, race cars, whoopee
cushions, yoyos, bubbles – anything to
relieve the stress of long study
session. The snacks, however, are the
mainstay of the Ag Bags. We include
some healthy and some completely
unhealthy items, but the main idea is
that they have things on hand to sustain
them in their time of need. The bags
sell for $20 each and $5 of that goes to
our Student Recognition Awards.
Cares and Concerns?
As a club, we like to
recognize our
members and students at
special or difficult times. We send
student birthday cards, congratulations
greetings for ring recipients, get well
cards and, of course, condolences. Make
sure that the club has your student’s
correct address so that they can receive
their birthday/greeting cards.
Fun Bucks?
At each meeting, you’ll find a member
stationed near the door who’ll be
selling chances for
Fun Bucks
for a dollar each. Each time you buy a
chance you enter your students name on a
piece of paper. Depending on how many
chances are sold, we draw names for $10
Fun Buck winners. Each student winner
is then mailed $10 with only two
conditions. First, they must spend the
$10 on something fun and second, they
must write to us and tell us how the
spent the money.

$5 from the sale of each Ag Bag funds
these awards and they are given each
semester to
recognize the
participation of the student’s mom
in our club. Each time a
club member attends a meeting or
participates in any activity, her name
goes into the “hat.” The more
participation, the more times the name
is entered. At our November and April
meetings, two names are drawn and the
awards are sent directly to A&M to be
deposited into the student’s account.
We typically give $250-$300 awards to
each winner, depending on how many Ag
Bags were sold the previous semester.
We may
need to expand this list, so if you
come across anything that you don’t
quite understand,
let us know.
